How will I be assessed?

The Poultry Health Course is a 20-credit module accredited by the University of Nottingham which can either be taken as a 2-week residential course or online. Participants on both study paths can opt to sit the same examination in June/July each year at the University of Nottingham’s Sutton Bonington Campus, UK.

For those who take the 2018-19 online course, and the 2019 residential course, the examination date will be Monday 24th June 2019 at 10:00am (BST).

The Examination is computer-based and comprises 90 multiple choice questions which must be completed within 90 min. Participants who are not resident in the UK can request to sit the examination (on paper) overseas in August at any number of British Council offices. Course fees

The cost of the April 2019 residential course is £2000 (with accredited exam) or £1900 (without accredited exam). Please contact us for further details.

The cost of the 2019-20 online course is to be confirmed.

You can choose on the application form whether or not you would like to take the examination.

English Language Requirements for International Applicants

The University is keen to ensure all of its participants are prepared to succeed in their programmes of study. Applicants whose first language is not English must achieve an appropriate level in an approved test in English before they can register. English language requirements are:

  • IELTS – 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in each element
  • Paper-based TOEFL – 573 with a TWE (test of written English) of 4.5
  • Computer based TOEFL – 230 with no less than 4.5 in essay writing
